We all feel ourselves stressed from time to time; this is part of the emotional ups and downs in life. There are many sources of stress; it may be due to our surroundings, our bodies or our personal thoughts, and our view of the world around us. Pressure periods, such as the test periods, can naturally cause stress; but our body has evolved physiologically to cope with stress and to react. When our nervous system is under pressure, stress hormones are released in our bodies including adrenaline, noradrenalin and cortisol. These secretions cause some physical changes to help us cope with a threat or danger we face. This is called “stress response”.
